Cricket Bat Toe or Shoulder Repair

Unfortunately with cricket bats, they will occasionally crack and even open up into a split. This type of damage is typically seen up near the shoulders of the blade, or right down near the toe. However, this can be rectified and the bat continued to be used after receiving the Keith Dudgeon Cricket Specialists – Toe and Shoulder Repair treatment.

This process involves:

– Removal of old Extra-Tec and its residue at the wound (if applicable)

– Gluing of the relevant cracks and splits

– Allowance of approximately 24 hours for the glue to set

– Sanding and buffing of face to clear glue residue

– Repaired split is bound to provide added strength and support

Q: How long does this process take?

A: Please allow approximately 5 business days from when we receive your bat for this process to be completed.

Q: Do the current stickers stay on the bat?

A: Yes. We do not remove the stickers during this process, and will look exactly as you left them once the process is complete.

Q: Is it possible to replace my old Gray Nicolls/New Balance/Kookaburra/etc stickers with new ones?

A: Unfortunately, the well-known companies do not allow us to re-sell their stickers, as counterfeit bats (with their stickers on them) have been used in the past. Therefore, the companies decided to stop the re-sale of their stickers in order to eliminate this counterfeiting issue.
